“Living Someday Today”

It’s what I missed most during my 18 months grounded by cancer.

I missed important family weddings, christenings and our crazy family celebrations. I missed being capable of grabbing my passport and explore the world. I missed having friends over for a casual dinner and game night.

I missed Living Someday Today.

So many people have said to me “I’ll bet you’re happy to get 2025 behind you” and I say, no, there has been so much to celebrate. To top the year, my son married the person of his dreams. He and his husband have been with us through all the trials of my illness and to celebrate my ringing of the bell at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. We celebrated the end of treatments and being CANCER FREE!

Through it all, many clients trusted me to help them travel from Alaska to Zurich. They were very understanding of my limitations and hung in there with me – I am SO grateful. A couple visited his parent’s home town in Cutro Italy and met cousins he never knew. I had a grandparents make memories during an Alaskan cruise with their children and grandchildren. My travelers experienced a private shopper in Paris. Others enjoyed a guide to Machu Picchu. A panorama train through the Swiss Alps “topped” a trip from Paris to the Italian Lakes. Buffalo Bills fans watched games from Paris, Verona and Lyon this year (❤️💙GO🏈BILLS!💙❤️). Tea time was celebrated in London, Vienna, and Budapest. Street food was enjoyed in Prague, Venice, and countless other cities and towns. Wine caves were visited from Beaune to Chianti.

Friends, couples, and families all enjoyed time together creating “remember when” memories and Living Someday Today. They all had different and special experiences and I had the honor to assist them.

What does Living Someday Today mean to you?

For me, it means planning for the future while seizing today. Our time here is not guaranteed. The last 18 months reminded me that my life and business motto is as important as ever.

Use the good dishes. Light the pretty candles. Color with your grandkids.

Name three things you want to do someday. Decide which one is most important to you then make a plan to do it. It may take months or years. You will not believe how lifted you will be. You are sure to feel joy when you work toward something meaningful.

Today is the first anniversary of being cancer free and reason to celebrate – oh, and it’s New Year’s Eve so thank you all merrymakers for joining me in a toast:

May the new year bring you health, contentment and joy.

I am Living Someday Today!
